This super vintage double snake ring features two serpent heads (which represent eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship) one comprising 5 rubies and one comprising 5 diamonds.  The gallery also fetures beautiful swirling shoulders which gives the ring great finger coverage, and a really unique feel.

The wide buttery gold band has lost its hallmarks, probably due to a previous resize but i would date it to the 1940s.  The band measures a UK size N, which is a US size 6 3/4 and it weighs 3.52g 

Queen Victoria was an enthusiast of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, which symbolised his everlasting love.
